Human Nature’s Toby Allen has been caught up in the Sydney COVID-19 outbreak and is currently quarantining in a Brisbane hotel.
It means the group will have to perform their Christmas shows as a trio this weekend.
Allen travelled independently from the band last Wednesday on Virgin Airlines flight 925. All passengers on that flight have been instructed by Queensland Health to self-isolate for 14 days due to being in close proximity to an female identified passenger regarding possible exposure to COVID-19.
He currently has no symptoms and is hotel isolation in Brisbane under the supervision of Queensland health authorities until further notice.
The rest of Human Nature travelled on Thursday evening from Sydney to Brisbane ahead of shows at Brisbane on Friday and the Gold Coast on Saturday.
“Queensland Health have advised that remaining band members and any crew that have come into contact with Toby Allen are deemed as contacts of a close contact and currently are not required to quarantine or be tested,” a statement from the band said.
“If Mr Allen becomes a case they will then be required to quarantine.”
Human Nature previously quarantined in Perth last month when they flew from the US to Australia to start their summer tour and spend Christmas with their families.
They have two more Christmas shows, in Canberra on Monday and Tuesday, before a tour starts in Rooty Hill on January 2.
