US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un came to their historic agreement through negotiations that took place over a table in Singapore.
The two world leaders were joined by eight other people during their bilateral meeting.
All of them had a role to play as part of the US and North Korea delegations.
A photograph emerged of the 10 people in the room that helped pave the way to peace.

U.S. DELEGATION
President Donald J. Trump
The 45th and current President of the United States, took office in January 20, 2017. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality.
Secretary Mike Pompeo, Department of State:
Mike Pompeo was a hard line Republican congressman before President Donald Trump appointed him to direct the CIA and later to lead the US Department of State. The former Tea Party representative from Kansas was hand-picked by Mr Trump to be the top US diplomat after he fired former state department chief Rex Tillerson.
General John Kelly, Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff
Retired four-star Marine Corps General John Kelly replaced Reince Priebus in President Donald Trump’s team as the Chief of Staff. General Kelly is a 45-year military veteran and was in charge of Southern Command, responsible for military operations in Central and South America and the Caribbean, from 2012 until his retirement in January 2016.
Ambassador John Bolton, Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor
US foreign policy experts tends to fall into three camps: realist, liberalist and idealist. Realists view international relations as a competition for power among self-interested states — Bolton is a hard line realist. He believes that force and coercion are preferable means to advance US interests.
Ms. Sarah Sanders, Assistant to the President and Press Secretary
Best known to the American public for running the White House daily briefing, a televised performance in which, without so much as raising her voice, the president’s press secretary manages to deflect questions, flatly contradict facts and generally put out the fires burning around the administration of Donald Trump.
Ambassador Sung Kim, US Ambassador to the Philippines
South Korean-born American diplomat and the current United States Ambassador to the Philippines as well as the former United States Special Representative for North Korea Policy, he previously served as the United States Ambassador to South Korea.
Mr. Matthew Pottinger, Deputy Assistant to the President for Asian Affairs
In his position at the National Security Council, Pottinger is the primary point of contact on US-China security issues. Prior to joining the NSC, Pottinger’s work took him around the world in a variety of capacities. He worked as a journalist in China for Reuters and the Wall Street Journal; served in the US Marine Corps in the Middle East, and most recently worked in private equity.
NORTH KOREA DELEGATION
Leader Kim Jong-un
Supreme Leader of North Korea since 2011 and Leader of the Workers’ Party of Korea since 2012.
Mr. Kim Yong Chol, Vice-Chairman, Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea
Kim Yong-chol worked in North Korean intelligence for 30 years and is now in charge of relations with South Korea and the United States. Kim Jong-un’s right-hand man. The former spy chief played a pivotal role in preparations for a historic summit.
Mr. Ri Su Yong, Vice-Chairman, Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea
A veteran diplomat, Ri Su-yong held the post of Foreign Minister before he was replaced by Ri Yong-ho. He is, however, still one of the most trusted aides of Kim Jong-un. Before being appointed as serving as the Foreign Minister of North Korea in April 2014, a position he held till May 2016, Ri served as a diplomat to Switzerland and the United Nations mission in Geneva. He is currently Vice-Chairman, Central Committee Of The Workers’ Party Of Korea.
Mr. Ri Yong-ho, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Ri Yong-ho is North Korea’s Foreign Minister and has been a diplomat for more than 30 years. Ri is known as a skilful negotiator and has represented North Korea in several talks. He has also held diplomatic posts in various embassies. Ri served as the North Korean ambassador to the United Kingdom between 2003 and 2007.
Mr. No Kwang Chol, Minister of People’s Armed Forces
No Kwang-chol is a North Korean soldier, a three-star general, and a member of the political bureau. In June 2018, he was promoted from first vice minister to defence minister of the Ministry of People’s Armed Forces.
Ms. Choe Son Hui, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs
Choe Son-hui is North Korea’s Vice-Foreign Minister and was leading talks on behalf of North Korea with the United States in Panmunjom in the lead-up to the summit. Has also served as an English language interpreter for Kim Jong-un.
Ms. Kim Yo Jong, First Deputy Director, Central Committee of Workers’ Party of Korea
Kim Jong-un’s sister and one of Kim Jong-un’s closest confidants. She attended the opening ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics earlier this year, she became the first member of North Korea’s ruling family to visit South Korea since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War.
Mr. Han Kwang Sang, Director, Central Committee of Workers’ Party of Korea
Manages the finances of the party and the Kim Family. It also is responsible for the payroll and material lives of party officials and employees. From 2009 to 2013, Han served as the department’s senior deputy (1st Vice) director, as the nominal head of Office #38 which manages the Kim Family’s finances. Han has been a fairly routine member of Kim Jong-un’s entourage during his visits and inspections around the country.
