SALIM Mehajer has lost the support of his council colleagues, who are asking him to quit because local residents have had enough of his antics.

SALIM Mehajer has lost the support of his Auburn Council colleagues, who have asked him to quit, saying residents have had enough of his antics.

Councillor Irene Sims told a meeting last night “there has been so much public outrage in the past three months and nothing has been favourable towards the council.

“It is time for council to step up and say we stand for the community and agree Cr Mehajer should stand down.”

Six councillors agreed with her, while Auburn Mayor Le Lam and councillor Ned Attie didn’t support the push to have Cr Mehajer resign.

Cr Mehajer had not ­arrived at the council meeting by the time the matter was raised. He recently ­admitted failing to disclose a pecuniary interest.

The move capped a bad day for Cr Mehajer, who was yesterday a party to three separate legal matters heard across two courtrooms on either side of Sydney.

And he’ll be back in Burwood Local Court today for an Apprehended Violence Order lodged by police on ­behalf of Bruce Herat, 52, the father of Lindt cafe siege survivor Joel Herat.

The 29-year-old started his day walking into Bankstown Local Court with his wife Aysha.

Representing himself, he ­pleaded guilty to driving his white Ferrari while not carrying his ­licence. However, he intends fighting a second charge of driving an unregistered car when he returns to the court on February 15.

While those proceedings were going on, a separate matter ­involving Mr Mehajer was being heard in Sydney Civil Local Court in the CBD.

He was being sued by a marble importer for unpaid work on a spiral staircase which features in a music video for US rapper Bow Wow. The civil local court yesterday heard the dispute between Mr Mehajer and Marmonyx Stone had reached a settlement.

But in the same court it emerged Mr Mehajer is being sued by a cleaner. Anping Yan is suing Mehajer for what he claims is 10 months of unpaid work. The case will return to court in December.
