Special Report: A comprehensive surface geochemical assessment at Future Battery Minerals’ Miriam asset has identified 15 gold anomalous zones and highlighted a developing 1.75km gold anomaly.

Multiple soil samples returned results above 0.1g/t gold with a peak value of 3.03g/t gold, outlining the potential for shallow, high-grade gold discoveries at Miriam.

Future Battery Minerals (ASX:FBM) says many of the anomalous zones are coincident with previously identified structural targets produced from magnetic geophysics, with results serving to upgrade the Forrest prospect and regional targets including the Jungle structural trend.

Works were conducted with the aim of identifying areas of elevated or anomalous gold and to consider their importance for the targeting of shallow regolith and bedrock hosted gold.

All surface geochemical sampling was collated with the evaluated results including 300 samples recently collected by FMB and submitted to LabWest for analysis.

Plans in motion for July initial drilling

FBM managing director and CEO Nick Rathjen said the company’s boots on the ground and activity-focused exploration strategy have returned exceptional results, strongly evidenced by the growing exploration potential across its broader Coolgardie portfolio.

“The soil sample results have identified 15 new anomalous gold zones with up to 3.03 g/t gold highlighting the opportunity for further shallow, high-grade gold discoveries,” he said.

“Importantly, the emergence of the Canyon target with a 1.75km striking anomaly is untested and increases the scale potential for the project.

“Ground preparations are underway for the upcoming initial drill program at Miriam that remains on track to commence in July,” he added.

“In light of the strong geophysical and geochemical results and scale of the Canyon target, it’s now advanced to drill ready status and will be tested alongside Forrest in this program.”

Background on Miriam

Miriam covers a region of the Coolgardie Greenstone Belt overlying series of formations and structural trends that host multiple nearby gold deposits, including Horizon Minerals’ (ASX:HRZ) 466,000oz Burbanks and Beacon Minerals’ (ASX:BCN) 132,000oz McPhersons Reward.

Following its 100% acquisition of all mineral rights for Miriam in May, FBM kicked off a detailed assessment of gold prospectivity at Miriam.

This included a comprehensive review of available historical geological and drilling data, which resulted in the discovery of historical gold mineralised intercepts at Forrest and the identification of numerous other gold occurrences at Forrest South, Jungle and Goroke.

More recently, FBM completed a review of magnetic geophysics, resulting in the identification of 13 prospective targets which include both broad and discrete structures of interest.

What’s next?

FBM said the geochemical review has been a critical piece of FBM’s ongoing evaluation of gold prospectivity at Miriam, with the results highlighting gold values of

Values of >20ppb gold were thus deemed to be at least double the background level and considered anomalous.

Given these ranges, 15 anomalous zones indicate potential subsurface gold mineralisation and warrant follow-up exploration.

Several samples returned relatively high grades for soil sampling, ranging between >0.1 g/t gold and a peak of 3.03 g/t gold.

The findings demonstrate the fertile nature of the Miriam area and point to significant potential for further gold mineralisation in both shallow oxide and bedrock zones.

FBM remains on track to begin an initial RC drill program at Miriam in July 2025, with all permits already in place.

A second heritage survey is also scheduled to commence in July 2025, covering prospective areas which FBM intends to test in subsequent drilling scheduled for late Q3 2025.
