A Brisbane company, founded by Queensland’s reigning Professional Engineer of the Year, has joined forces with two other water infrastructure specialists in a major industry move forecast to reshape the delivery of water, environment, and energy projects nationwide.
Engineering and construction delivery specialist Infrastructure Project Solutions, which has an office in Edward St in the CBD, has joined forces with Sequana, one of Australia’s fastest-growing strategic advisory and project management consultancies, and Atlas Engineering Group, a technical leader in brownfield water and wastewater programs.
The partnership will result in 200 professionals delivering end-to-end infrastructure solutions spanning the entire asset life cycle, from strategy and planning to design, delivery, and long-term asset management.
IPS, founded in 2022 by Sascha Kurzwho won the top engineers award last year, adds specialist construction management, technical engineering acumen, and on-ground experience to the partnership.
“This partnership enables us to go further and deliver smarter solutions for clients,” Kurz says.
“With more than 60 water, environment, and energy specialists now based in Brisbane, we’re one of the largest teams in the local sector.”
Vale Fr Warbrooke
Hundreds of mourners are expected to gather for the celebration of the life of popular parish priest Fr Ashley Warbrooke at St Stephen’s Cathedral in the Brisbane CBD on Thursday, June 12.
Fr Warbrooke was 78 when he passed away and his funeral will start at 10am.
A Marist Brothers College Rosalie old boy Fr Ashley he was a school captain and he excelled in rugby union, cricket and athletics. He was ordained in 1972 and his first posting was to St Catherine’s in Wishart, now Upper Mt. Gravatt, where he served for three years.
He held various positions around Brisbane at Darra Jubilee Parish, St Agatha’s in Clayfield, St Mary’s in Ipswich, St Flannan’s in Zillmere and later also served at St Peter’s in Rochedale and the Star of the Sea, Cleveland.
He also served as priest secretary to Archbishop Rush at St Stephen’s Cathedral for five years.
A dedicated rugby union follower he played for Wests Rugby Union in Toowong and after the service friends and family are invited to gather at the clubhouse.

Financial planners Link Wealth has taken another decisive step in its national growth strategy, with the acquisition of Gold Coast-based Xponential Advisory, a boutique financial planning firm servicing more than 185 client families across Australia.
The acquisition brings with it about $500,000 in annual revenue, and will see the Victorian headquartered Link Wealth establish a new office in Burleigh Heads, expanding its footprint into Queensland.
Xponential’s financial adviser Brendan Dilworth will remain in place under the Link Wealth structure.
Link Wealth managing director Stephen Sloane says the decision to expand into the Gold Coast was driven by a clear need for greater access to financial advice across He said what attracted them to Xponential was the calibre of relationships they’ve built over time.
“This is not just a change of brand, it’s a transformation in capability. With the support of Link Wealth’s back-office platform Levera Solutions, we’re able to help not only Brendan but future advisers that join the team to focus more time on client outcomes and less time on managing operational complexity,” Sloane says.
