Eduard Litver lists harbourside mansion with $30m in mind

Property developer Eduard Litver has listed his Sydney harbourside mansion where Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen is among the rich and famous rumoured to have stayed.

Property developer Eduard Litver has listed his Sydney harbourside mansion where Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen and billionaire PayPal founder Peter Thiel are rumoured to have stayed.

The Agency’s Steven Chen has the listing of the four-level, six-bedroom property at 29 Eastbourne Rd, Darling Point that could fetch more than $30m. Guests are happy to pay nearly $100,000 for a seven-night stay.

Lidsdale fetches $2.4m

The historic 1912-built Lidsdale House just outside Lithgow has sold, netting its vendor Centennial Coal $2.4m in the process. Centennial Coal had previously used the large property set on 20ha as commercial offices but its selling agent, Deborah Cullen of Cullen Royle, says the property could easily be converted into a hospitality venue or residential holding. Set on two titles fronting 1384 Castlereagh Highway in Lidsdale, the property was built in 1920 by local mine owner Frank Neubeck, according to Ms Cullen, who marketed the property with local agent Jamie Giokaris of LJ Hooker Lithgow.

$11m hopes in Bowral

Online children’s retailer Tash Hamilton has listed her sprawling 40ha Bowral property in Glenquarry with price expectations of about $11m. The Sproules Lane Hamptons-inspired house was built about five years ago. Selling agent Reece Woods of First ­National Bowral says Hamilton wants to remain in the Southern Highlands area and build again. The estate is fully irrigated and has council approval to build a second three-bedroom home as a farm-stay or guest accommodation. The park-like gardens feature oaks, elms, weeping cherries, maples, cypress. There’s also a north-facing swimming pool. ­Expressions of interest close on November 12.

City’s latest big sale bid

There’s been heavy turnover of Melbourne mansions this year, with several selling for more than $30m. As such, Jock Langley of Abercromby’s has now listed The Terricks, fronting Paterson St, Hawthorn, expecting it to fetch more than $21m in what would be another large sale for the city. The estate, with 14 principal rooms, has undergone major alterations and extensions since it last traded. Developed around 1882, the Melbourne landmark was designed by Reed and Barnes, one of the world’s oldest architecture firms which was also responsible for the Royal Exhibition Building. The mansion, on a 3482sq m corner block, has views of the city. ­Langley says it is also close to schools, Glenferrie Rd, parks and transport.

Amazing tourism offer

One of Victoria’s oldest tourist attractions, Amaze n Things on Phillip Island, is for sale with an asking price of $16m. It includes an amusement park, brewery, caravan park and van sites and is on sale because owner Geoff Moed is retiring. The accommodation comprises of 18 motel rooms, 15 cabins, 11 powered and 54 annual sites plus two camping sites.South Yarra agent John Castran of Castran has the listing.
