They will also be able to get their hands on oddball items including selfie drones, jumping castles, eco-friendly yoga mats and umbrellas designed for clotheslines.
Big brands in the sale include Adidas, Adore Beauty, Woolworths, Red Balloon, Kate Spade, Sony and The Good Guys.
Those who also sign up to become free Click Frenzy members have access to a wider range of Go Wild deals, which this year includes iPhone 11s for $12, Kitchen Aids for $6, an UE Boom for $1 and Kindles for $2 each.
Click Frenzy managing director Grant Arnott said some of his favourite past deals included Biltong – a dried, cured South African meat – snake repellers, personalised chopping boards and vegan bacon-flavoured seasoning.
“What I love about Click Frenzy is we give airplay to tiny, micro online businesses you haven’t heard of before, who are having a crack and are doing a deal for the first time,” he said.
“It gives smaller retailers a fighting chance to really go up against the big guns.”
To ensure this year’s event “that stops a nation” runs smoothly, Mr Arnott said Click Frenzy had partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a major website-building firm to eliminate glitches that previously overwhelmed and crashed the site.
“In our first year in 2012, we were overwhelmed and the site crashed for a couple of hours of the event, which was unfortunate … and last year we introduced new features that caused an outrage at the start of the event. Click Frenzy is put in the spotlight every time we have an issue so we are really comfortable we’ve got everything in order this year,” Mr Arnott said.
“We’re preparing for two million users to pour through our virtual doors, and we’re estimating to generate about $250 million this year.”
CLICK FRENZY 2019
Click Frenzy follows Monday’s Singles Day – a Chinese 24-hour online shopping sale hosted by Alibaba – which generated $42.4 billion in 24 hours last year.
One-in-five Australians also took part in Black Friday 2018 on November 29, where the average person purchased four products and spent $375 each.
In 2018, Australians were estimated to spend $320 million during Cyber Monday as well.
