Woman falls from Rose Lane balcony in Melbourne CBD, police recover dead body
There has been early morning horror in a Melbourne laneway after the dead body of a woman was found.

A crime scene has been set up in a Melbourne laneway after police found a woman’s body in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
It’s understood the woman fell from a balcony of a residential apartment above Rose Lane, between Little Bourke and Lonsdale streets.
Victoria Police confirmed officers found her body about 3am, and called for anyone who might have information about the incident to come forward.
Detectives were at the scene about 8am on Tuesday as they tried to piece together what happened.
‘The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear however it is believed the woman was last seen on the balcony of a residential apartment in Rose Lane shortly before she was discovered,” a police spokesman said.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
