One person has been injured after a fire gutted a home in the western Sydney suburb of Rydalmere.
More than 10 firefighters were required to get the blaze under control.
NSW Fire and Rescue said they received “numerous” triple-0 calls relating to a fire on Fallon St at 11.30am on Friday, which also impacted a neighbouring home.
The cause of the blaze, which took firefighters under 30 minutes to contain, was still being investigated, while the home’s occupant suffered “minor” burns.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry said crews were attending “numerous” house fires and it was a timely reminder for people to develop escape plans.
“Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling triple-0 in an emergency,” he said.
