Radio personality Kyle Sandilands has paid tribute to his new wife’s heritage in a star-studded wedding that incorporated multiple aspects of her Jewish faith.
The 51-year-old radio star was married in front of about 130 guests on Saturday, including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Guy Sebastian, NSW Premier Chris Minns and his radio co-host Jackie Henderson.
In a energetic video shared to the Kyleandjackieo Instagram page, the newly-married Mr and Mr Sandilands can be seen loudly celebrating surrounded by family and friends.
The party ran late into the night, with the couple paying tribute to Tegan’s Jewish faith.
In a post shared to Jackie’s Instagram page, the newly weds are seen being lifted up in chairs as guests danced the Hora – a popular Jewish tradition.
The duo waved handkerchiefs to the tune of Hava Nagila – a Jewish folk song.
There was also a traditional breaking of the glass after the ceremony itself.
The party went well into the night, with the groom reportedly spotted smoking a vape with bridesmaids at one point.
Jackie-O pulled up to the event alongside her daughter Kitty in a black BMW, wearing a floral Zimmerman dress.
The famous radio personality had been preparing for his lavish nuptials to his longtime partner Tegan Kynaston at Sydney’s Intercontinental Hotel in Double Bay.
In a livestream, it was revealed Jackie O was ten minutes late due to bad traffic.
She told media she was “relieved” Sandilands was finally getting married.
“Finally he’s settling down, he’s a happy man, it will be a happy day,” the radio host said.
In a first look, the relaxed groom posed alongside his groomsmen in fresh photos ahead of the ceremony.
He had been preparing alongside his groomsmen, Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim and convicted drug smuggler Simon Main.
Photos posted to the KIIS 106.5fm Instagram page show the men in their outfits ahead of the ceremony.
Minutes before Ms Kynaston was set to walk down the aisle, Instagram images of Sandilands with his groomsmen John Ibrahim and Simon Main appeared on his show’s page.
Sandilands wore navy suit pants paired with a vest and a light-blue tie.
There has been controversy surrounding the A-list guest list, which includes the likes of both Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and NSW Premier Chris Minns.
Mr Albanese on Saturday quashed rumours he would be manning the DJ deck at the wedding, but confirmed he had secured an invite.
Images from the venue showed high security surrounding the front gate, where many of the celebrity guests were expected to enter.
The much anticipated wedding, which is reported to cost more than $1m, took place at the extravagant Swifts mansion in Sydney’s Darling Point.
Last year, Mr Albanese said he’d perform a DJ set should the radio king cough up an invitation.
During an appearance in Hobart on Saturday morning Mr Albanese put the rumours to bed for good.
When asked if he would be DJing, he simply responded: “No”.
“Yes, I was invited to the wedding, yes, I was invited in the context of Kyle saying how happy he was with Tegan, with this relationship, of his and with baby Otto coming along and I look forward to witnessing their expression of love between two people this afternoon,” Mr Albanese said.
In an interview between Sandilands and Mr Albanese earlier this week, he revealed the Prime Minister would be charged with keeping his mother company at the wedding.
“She’s a fan of yours, so she’s going to lose her mind,” the shock jock told him live on air.
