12% FALL IN VICTORIANS SICK RIGHT NOW AS VIRUS SPREAD SLOWS TO 2%
So when can we discuss an exit strategy from these devastating bans?: "As at 6:00am on 6 April 2020, there have been 5,744 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia. There have been 109 new cases since 6:00am yesterday." That's just 2 per cent more new cases. Take away recoveries, and Victoria now has 72 fewer sick people than last Wednesday.
So when can we discuss an exit strategy to gradually ease these devastating bans?:
As at 6:00am on 6 April 2020, there have been 5,744 confirmed cases of COVID-19... There have been 109 new cases since 6:00am yesterday.
That's an increase of just 2 per cent of new cases. Just 109 new cases, which I'm sure are outnumbered by people recovering.
Only Victoria releases data on recoveries. Here's the Health Minister:
On Wednesday Victoria had 620 people sick at the time (excluding those who had died or recovered).
It now has 528 people sick.
That fall of 72 people sick right now is significant. That's fewer people likely to infect anyone else, and fewer people needing medical resources.
(NOTE: In earlier posts I said the Wednesday figure was 625. I had neglected to deduct deaths from the totals. Apologies.)
