Spinning fashion pod at the Brownlow misses the mark

CHANNEL 7 sent viewers into a spin with its latest Brownlow fashion gimmick last night.

CHANNEL 7 sent viewers into a spin with its latest Brownlow fashion gimmick last night.

A spinning "fashion pod" - allowing audiences a 360-degree all-angles gawk at WAGs and occasionally their other halves - caused a Twitter storm.

"That revolting pod is a bit demeaning ... they're not up for auction," one tweeted.

"Boobs on a rotisserie, strange," another said.

"Lazy susan, epic fail, how awkward was it," was yet another comment.

But some were impressed, one saying: "Well done on the rotating podium."

Seven stretched its blue carpet telecast to 45 minutes.

Host Hamish McLachlan was joined by former Miss Australia Rachael Finch, magazine editor Felicity Harley and, somewhat bizarrely, Matthew Richardson.

Let's just say that as a fashion expert, the former Richmond champion makes a great footballer.
