Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic have given a rare look inside their Noosa home.
The Sydney-based couple engaged the help of Jasmine’s interior designer sister, Jade Yarbrough, to helm the renovation after forking out a reported $3.6 million for the beach house last year.
“We really love it’s stripped back, beach-chic feel,” Karl told Vogue Living Australia.
“The design balances both practicality and comfort with style through Jade’s custom pieces. The couch faces both ways so we can watch the view as well as each other. The vibe is bring everything outside in except the sand. We also like having our own space and all the rooms are individual for a bit of fun.”
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home is in one of Sunshine Beach’s most expensive streets — Seaview Terrace.
The couple live in Sydney as their primary residence, where they recently bought a home in Castlecrag, due to Karl’s work co-hosting breakfast TV show, Today, but intend to spend more time in Queensland with their one-year-old daughter, Harper.
“I loved designing the custom pieces with Jade throughout the project so we could adapt furniture pieces to match the layout of the house,” Mara & Mine shoe designer Jasmine said.
“To see that transformation was so exciting. We can’t wait to spend more time there.”
Jade Yarbrough meanwhile is also co-founder of homewares brand, Merci Maison, with the home renovations inspired by Karl and Jasmine’s love of Europe.
One artwork was commissioned by Bondi artist and former Sneaky Sound System band member Daimon Downey.
Meanwhile, Jasmine flew to Brisbane this week where she is undergoing hotel quarantine to be with her beloved 95-year-old nan, Isabel Hollingworth.
“These are special times and they are hard times for loved ones who are sick,” Karl said on air on the Today show. “This is going on with families across the country but to have it delivered first hand is not easy.”
