A man charged over an alleged wild brawl in the Gold Coast CBD is expected to face court on Wednesday.
Chaos broke out at the corner of Southport’s Scarborough and Nerang streets, just metres away from the Southport police station and courthouse, about 2.45pm Tuesday.
At least half a dozen people were involved in the fight and a number of police were called to the scene after punches were thrown.
Police will allege a 31-year-old Southport man was fighting with several people.
He was charged with two counts of obstruct police and one count of public nuisance.
His bail was refused and he was due to face Southport Magistrates Court on February 22.
