COMMUTERS copped an eyeful this morning as a naked man ran in and out of traffic on a major Gold Coast road.
Police were called around 6am this morning after reports a man was disrupting traffic near Southport’s Sundale Bridge on the Gold Coast Highway.
A resident from the Meriton apartment building nearby said they “heard a guy calling for help and he got out of the water near Sundale Bridge naked and tried to flag down cars but no one stopped.”
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the man’s actions were induced by drug and mental health issues.
He was later taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
