A man with links to the Mongols bikie gang has been arrested after raids at a Gold Coast home uncovered hand guns, silencers, drugs and cash.

A MAN with links to the Mongols bikie gang has been arrested after raids at a Paradise Point home uncovered hand guns, silencers, drugs and cash.

Cops from the bikie busting Taskforce Maxima raided the Sunbird Ave home this morning, forcing their way into the home, before finding the 44-year-old man in his bed.

They also found a box with what will be alleged are cocaine, MDMA and cannabis.

Police will allege they found two hand guns, a silencer, two knuckle dusters, $12,400 in cash and cocaine, MDMA and cannabis.

A 44-year-old man, an alleged associate of the Mongols OMCG, has been charged with 14 offences, including four counts of possession of dangerous drugs and one count each of: possession of things used in a crime, possession of proceeds of crime and unlawful possession of category H weapon (handguns), category R weapon (silencer), explosives, category M weapon (knuckle dusters and push knife), and restricted item (baton).

He has been remanded to appear at Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

“These are serious offences which pose a significant threat to the community and we will take every opportunity to disrupt this sort of activity which brings nothing but harm to our society,” Detective Senior Sergeant Troy Lehmann of Taskforce Maxima said.
