POLICE have seized multiple different drugs and almost $100,000 in cash during a search of a Currumbin Waters home on Friday.
Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad Officers uncovered cocaine, MDMA, steroids, alprazolam (a tranquilliser) and approximately $72,000 cash during the raid.
Also seized were a cash counting machine, heat sealing equipment, phones and counterfeit currency.
A 34-year-old Currumbin Waters man has been charged with multiple offences including trafficking dangerous drugs, four counts of possession, producing dangerous drugs and possession of property suspected of being used in committing a crime.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on December 3.
MOCS Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Galpin said the charges reflect police’s “ongoing commitment to disrupting criminal activity” on the Gold Coast.
“The QPS is committed to working with the community to enhance community safety,” he said.
“We are constantly looking for opportunities to disrupt criminal behaviour and dismantle criminal syndicates at the earliest opportunity.
“I encourage anyone with information relating to persons involved in organised crime to contact Crime Stoppers.”
