POLICE are investigating if a large rock is the link between three separate chemist break-ins on the Gold Coast and in Logan last night.

About 2.40am a “large rock or piece of concrete” was allegedly thrown through the front glass window of a pharmacy at Waldron Street in Yarrabilba in Logan.

Two males allegedly entered the business and placed a number of items in a bag before exiting back through the damaged window.

About one hour later, a chemist on Maudsland Rd at Oxenford and one on Egeersdorf Rd at Ormeau half an hour later both had a similar object thrown through windows in an attempt to try and gain entry.

The windows were both smashed and items were stolen including medication and prescription drugs.

Investigations are ongoing.
