Police are looking for two men after a stolen SUV was used to break into a Gold Coast shopping centre in a daring early morning jewellery heist.

POLICE are investigating after a car was used to break into the Westfield Coomera shopping centre in the early hours of this morning.
Officers were called just after 4.30am after a stolen SUV was driven into the main entrance of the centre.

A man then jumped out of the silver Audi Q5, ran into the centre and used a hammer to smash his way into the Wallace Bishop jewellery store.
Detective Inspector Chris Ahearn said approximately $6,000 worth of silver jewellery was stolen, while about $15,000 worth of damage was caused to the shopping centre.
Police said the man who stole the jewellery was caucasian, wearing a black puffer jacket, black beanie and a surgical mask.
A second person, seen wearing a balaclava, remained in the car during the incident.

Police believe the car, with distinctive roof racks, was stolen from Seven Hills on June 21, and will have substantial damage from being used in the offence.
Investigations are continuing.
