AN alleged bikie associate accused of leading police on a car chase from Surfers Paradise to Helensvale will spend another night in custody.
Matthew David Gilmour was not brought into the Southport Magistrates Court today when the matter his multiple charges, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evade police, driving while disqualified from holding a licence and drug possession were briefly mentioned.
Rijald Hadzalic, of Alibi Criminal Defence, asked for the matters to be adjourned until tomorrow.
Gilmour, 38, is alleged to be an associate of the Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang.
It is alleged Gilmour was spotted driving a white Holden Commodore with stolen plates failed to stop for police in Clifford St, Surfers Paradise about 7.10pm last night.
The police helicopter spotted the car about 9pm on Hooker Blvd and began to track it north bound.
It is alleged the car was driving at high speeds and at times on the wrong side of the road.

Police used spikes to try to stop the car on Oxley Dr, Runaway Bay but Gilmour allegedly kept driving without lights and a high speeds on Brisbane Rd toward the M1.
Gilmour allegedly rammed a stationary police car which tried to stop him on Siganto Dr, Helensvale.
Police arrested Gilmour about 9.30pm.
His matter will return to court tomorrow where Gilmour is expected to apply for bail.
