Gold Coast crash: Police investigating after man was hit by truck on M1, Tallebudgera Creek

Police are investigating after a man was hit by truck on the Pacific Motorway this morning.

A pedestrian was hit by a car on the M1 at Burleigh Heads.

POLICE are investigating after a serious traffic incident on the Pacific Motorway this afternoon, leaving a man hospitalised in a critical condition.

Emergency services were called around 11.45am following reports a 34-year-old man was allegedly hit by a truck on the M1 near the Tallebudgera Creek bridge pass.

Preliminary investigations suggest the man was travelling northbound on the M1, crashed into a side barrier and was struck by a truck when he exited his car.

Paramedics transported him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

Motorists heading northbound on the highway experienced significant delays, traffic was diverted at exit 95.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
