HIGH-profile criminal lawyer Campbell MacCallum usually has no problem talk to the media.
But after being charged with possessing dangerous drugs he was unusually silent.
The Bulletin got into a lift with Mr MacCallum at the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday. He was there to represent a client.
The client was Hayley Isabella Webb – the girlfriend of alleged Mongols member Harley Barbaro.

Asked if he could talk, Mr MacCallum referred to his lawyer. He went to say something but was again silent for the remaining lift ride.
Earlier, he had sent the Bulletin a text message.
“I’m all right,” he wrote. “I face things front on. I eventually had to come to work. May as well today.”
Wednesday was the first time Mr MacCallum appeared in public after his Burleigh home was raided by investigators from the Crime and Corruption Commission on Monday morning.
Police will allege a small amount of cocaine was found in his home.
Media waited for him to enter and exit court on Wednesday.
When he spotted cameras waiting outside the courthouse he asked the Bulletin: “That’s not for me is it?”
Inside he had kept to himself.

Instead of his usual practice of speaking with waiting media and other lawyers, he sat in an office in the court.
At times Ms Webb and Mr Barbaro were with him, but he was on occasion on his own.
Mr MacCallum was also spotted laughing with the couple.
Mr MacCallum’s lawyer Bill Potts, of Potts Lawyers, said they were still gathering evidence and declined to comment further.
He will face the charges in the Southport Magistrates Court this month.
