A pair of Gold Coast vandals have proven they’re not the sharpest tools in the shed after graffitiing the front of a shopping centre in full view of CCTV cameras.
The two men targeted the Currumbin Fair shopping complex on Bienvenue Dr about 1.10am on Tuesday. One of the topless taggers can be seen in the camera footage of the incident reaching up and spraying green paint onto the sign of a Chinese restaurant.
He then sets his sights on a nearby medical centre, spraying paint across the front entrance. A few second later a second man wearing a black shirt and shorts and white shoes joins in, tagging a brick wall.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the pair were captured arriving in a silver hatchback, wilfully damaging two walls before departing in the same vehicle.
The incident is under investigation and anyone who witnessed the men graffitiing the premises or has dashcam vision in the area at the time is asked to contact police.
