A 32-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after police allegedly found a drugs factory at a home on the Gold Coast.

Police allegedly found drugs including more than one kilo of MDMA tablets and drug making utensils when officers executed a search warrant at the Beattie Rd, Coomera property on Friday.

Mother of one Taylor-Leigh Parsons was taken into custody at the property and later charged with a dozen offences for possessing dangerous drugs, producing dangerous drugs and possession of weapons.

Police allege that in addition to the MDMA tablets, during their search of the home they discovered substances including cannabis, methylamphetamine and THC oil which they said was “actively cooking”.

Officers alleged that instructions for drug production were also found.

Parsons appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on Saturday where she was bailed to appear again on November 7.

Chief Superintendent Craig Hanlon said police were determined to protect the community from the harm that could be done by dangerous drugs.

“This operation demonstrates our ongoing focus on keeping harmful substances off the streets,” he said.

“Gold Coast Police will continue to act decisively against anyone involved in the manufacture or distribution of dangerous drugs.”

Chief Supt Hanlon said police were especially anxious to keep drugs off the streets in the lead-up to Schoolies celebrations on the Gold Coast next month.

“What we say to people is, dangerous drugs are called dangerous for a reason. We don’t know the actual elements and makeup of the drugs, so we say to people, do not participate in dangerous drugs,” he said.

“We’ve got Schoolies coming up at the end of this month. We don’t know whether some of these tablets would have ended up at Schoolies. But what we say is (the seizure) is a good result and we’ll make sure that whenever we get enough evidence to arrest someone who is alleged to be producing or supplying dangerous drugs we’ll certainly take a hard stance on them.”
