Police are investigating after department stores across the northern Gold Coast were allegedly caught out by a sneaky trick.

Police would like to speak to this woman after old receipts were allegedly used to obtain fraudulent refunds at major retailers on the northern Gold Coast.

Officers allege between August 28 and September 1 the woman attended department stores at Helensvale, Coomera and Southport and used old receipts that did not belong to her to get the refunds.
