Police investigating armed home invasion on Slayter Ave, Bundall with bullet fired into roof

A bullet has been fired into the roof of a home during a frightening break and enter on Tuesday morning. Read what happened.

Police are investigating an armed break and enter on the Gold Coast in which a bullet was fired into the roof of a home.

Two offenders, one armed with a handgun, attempted to enter the property on Slayter Ave, Bundall via a balcony at about 12.30am on Tuesday according to a Queensland Police Service spokesman.

“They smashed a glass door and discharged (shot) the weapon into the roof,” the QPS spokesman said.

“The offenders then proceeded to enter the property and threatened a female occupant with the weapon.”

The woman wasn’t injured in the altercation and the offenders left empty-handed in a white sedan.

They’re appealing for anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV vision, to come forward.
