Police investigating after man found dead behind River Church on Monaco St in Broadbeach
A man in his forties has been found dead at the back of a church on the Gold Coast.

A 45-year-old man has been found dead at the back of a church in Broadbeach.
Emergency services were called to the River Church, which fronts the Gold Coast Highway at the corner of Monaco St, at about 9am on Thursday. CPR was attempted however the man was declared dead at the scene.
The man was reportedly found by staff members of the River Chruch.
The Bulletin understands that the man had been experiencing homelessness.
The River Church also plays host to the Transformations Centre, a medium term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program for men and women between the age of 18 and 50 years.
Staff could not say whether the deceased man was involved with the program.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said officers were investigating the man’s death, however it was not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
“Police are at the scene of an incident at Monaco St in Broadbeach,” the spokesperson said.
“At approximately 9am an unconscious man was found at the back of a business premises.
“Emergency services attended and he was declared deceased at the scene.
“Investigations are continuing however it is being treated as a non suspicious death.”
