A woman in her eighties has allegedly blown over the limit after crashing into a parked car and light pole at a small suburban shopping complex car park.

A woman in her eighties has allegedly blown over the limit after crashing into a parked car and a light pole at Pacific Pines on Saturday.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to a shopping complex car park about 1.24pm near Universal St and Binstead Way.

The small complex includes a 7-11 service station, chemist, restaurants and a Liquorland bottle shop.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said on arrival it was found that a white Kia Sorrento had collided with a parked Honda station wagon, badly damaging both vehicles.

A light pole had also been downed in the incident.

The driver of the Kia, a woman in her eighties, was assessed by paramedics at the scene, but did not require transport to hospital.

Instead, witnesses reported she left the scene in the back of a police car.

It’s alleged the women returned a positive roadside blood alcohol reading, according to the QPS spokeswoman.

Officer were still in the process of formally charging the elderly woman on Sunday.
