Three men have been arrested after police raids across the Gold Coast allegedly uncovered $1.6m worth of cocaine and tens of thousands of dollars in cash. See who got bail.

THREE men have been charged after police raids across the Gold Coast allegedly uncovered $1.6m worth of cocaine and tens of thousands of dollars in cash.

Reece Jacob Cribb, Joshua Mark Emery, and Chad Te Ahu Alex Campbell-Willoughby were arrested, appearing before Southport Magistrate’s Court on Thursday where two of the three were granted bail.

Detectives from the Major and Organised Crime Squad allegedly discovered 1.6kg of cocaine, $27,000 cash, a drug press, and drug-related paraphernalia in raids on properties at Nerang, Southport, and Hope Island on Wednesday.

Cribb, 34, from Hope Island didn’t apply for bail yesterday and is remanded in custody until his next appearance on December 5. He is charged with possessing dangerous drugs (schedule 1 drug quantity or exceeding schedule 4), possession property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, producing dangerous drugs, drug trafficking, and two counts of possessing items used in the commission of crime.

Emery, 29, from Southport was granted bail and is set to reappear on February 28. He is charged with possessing dangerous drugs (schedule 1 drug quantity or exceeding schedule 4), possessing dangerous drugs, possession property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, producing dangerous drugs, drug trafficking, unlawful possession of weapons, two counts of supplying dangerous drugs, and three counts of possessing items used in the commission of crime.

Campbell-Willoughby, 28, from Southport was also granted conditional bail. His matter has also been adjourned until February 28. He is charged with possessing dangerous drugs (schedule 1 drug quantity or exceeding schedule 4), possessing dangerous drugs, producing dangerous drugs, drug trafficking, possessing items used in the commission of crime, and possession of utensils that had been used.

The raids were part of Operation Eureka, which has targeted the supply and distribution of cocaine across southeast Queensland since August.
