A man was left with critical injuries after being run down by a car on the Gold Coast overnight.
A 35-year-old pedestrian was crossing Discovery Dr at Helensvale about 10pm Saturday when he was struck by a car.
The Southport man was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries.
The driver, a 22-year-old Helensvale man, was not injured.
No charges have yet been laid.
Police are urging any witnesses or anyone who may have footage of the incident to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit are now investigating the collision.
