A MILLIONAIRE Gold Coast strip club owner has been arrested and charged with stealing a woman’s mobile in a bizarre scene outside his Glitter Strip venues.
Hollywood Showgirls owner Craig Duffy was arrested by police outside the strip club and marched down party strip Orchid Ave to the Surfers Paradise police station about noon last Thursday.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said officers were called to an altercation between Duffy and a 49-year-old woman outside the 19 Orchid Ave strip club about 11.50am.

Police will allege the altercation followed the making of a comment by Mr Duffy during a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services compliance check.
It will be alleged Mr Duffy took a phone from the woman, whom he knew.
The woman declined to comment when contacted by the Bulletin.
Mr Duffy told the Bulletin there were “two sides to every story” but said based on legal advice he was unable to elaborate further until his court date.
Mr Duffy’s lawyer Josh Boorman said: “At this stage, I have nothing to say in relation to Mr Duffy.”
A QPS spokeswoman said Mr Duffy remained in the area until police arrived and was arrested for stealing.
He was taken to Surfers Paradise station where he was charged with stealing and issued a notice to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on September 7.
The phone was later returned to the police station by an unknown person.
It is understood Mr Duffy has been locked in a long-running battle with the body corporate for the building which is home to his bar venues including Hollywood, which is marketed as “a club with a difference”. The site also includes a residential apartment tower with Mr Duffy’s office and a number of apartments in his ownership.
Those battles are believed to relate to toilet access issues and fire compliance debates.
Mr Duffy, a former globetrotting pool and snooker professional before retiring from the circuits in his 30s, also owns small bar Tipsy Pig under Hollywood Showgirls, which he founded almost 20 years ago.
He is planning to open another small bar called Coco Loco within weeks in the same block as Hollywood and Tipsy Pig.
