Police have released footage of a dramatic arrest involving a 17-year-old boy who allegedly broke into a Gold Coast chemist and tried to flee in a stolen car.

Police have released footage of a dramatic arrest involving a 17-year-old boy who allegedly broke into a Gold Coast chemist and tried to flee in a stolen car.
Gold Coast police were called to Cheltenham Dr in Robina at around 3.45am on Tuesday after reports of a break and enter.
A police spokeswoman alleged two people had smashed through the front glass window before entering the business.
In bodyworn footage released by Gold Coast police, it showed the two people attempting to flee the scene.
One of the officers dived into a Lexus parked outside the chemist, which was allegedly stolen from Grandview St in Kuraby on June 6 at around 1.40am.
While police were arresting the 17-year-old boy over the bonnet of the Lexus, the other alleged offender fled the scene on foot.
Police found several items from the pharmacy inside the car.
The 17-year-old Mount Warren Park boy has been charged with one count each of enter premises and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Children’s Court on June 10.
Investigations are ongoing.
