These Gold Coast drivers were caught behind the wheel illegally, despite previously being stung for traffic offences.

This 28-year-old Labrador man blamed his poor traffic history on being a “wild child” in his younger years.

Dylan Brian Luke pleaded guilty in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday to driving without a licence (repeat offender) and drug driving.

Luke was unable to produce a driver’s licence when police pulled him over at Napper Rd, Parkwood in April and also tested positive on a roadside drug test, the court was told.

The 28-year-old apologised to the court and said he was “completely remorseful”.

When Magistrate Ron Kilner asked him to explain his traffic history, Luke said he was a “wild child” when he was growing up, but had since matured.

He was fined $800 and disqualified from holding a licence for seven months.

Convictions were recorded.

This Bonogin woman pleaded guilty in the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday to driving without a licence.

Police caught Brylee Teal Styles driving unlicensed in June when they stopped the car she was driving in Varsity Lakes for a licence and registration check.

At the time of the offence, she was disqualified from driving due to an accumulation of demerit points, the court was told.

Styles was fined $300 and disqualified from holding a licence for six months.

A conviction was recorded.

A man caught driving unlicensed said he didn’t realise he had been banned from the road due to an accumulation of demerit points.

Keiran Stuart Divertie pleaded guilty to driving without a licence in the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Police caught the 35-year-old Labrador man driving unlicensed in April while conducting patrols on Brisbane Rd.

Magistrate Kilner described the man’s traffic history as “pretty grim”.

Divertie said he had multiple vehicles registered in his name and other people had committed the traffic offences.

He was fined $900 and disqualified from holding a licence for six months.

A conviction was recorded.
