A child has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car on the Gold Coast.
The 10-year-old was hit just after 9am on Monday at the intersection of Cottesloe Drive and Kirup Street, Mermaid Waters.
Paramedics treated the child for 40 minutes at the scene before they were rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
They remain in a serious condition.
Anyone with further information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact police.
