Burleigh crash: Nissan Navara leaves scene after collision

Police are investigating after a Nissan Navara ute allegedly left the scene after colliding with another vehicle near the M1 in Burleigh.

Police are investigating after the driver of a Nissan Navara left the scene of a crash in Burleigh Heads.

The ute collided with a Nissan Duke at Bermuda St near the M1 at 11.17am on Tuesday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a woman in her forties with back pain and a woman in her eighties with shoulder and back pain were taken to Pindara Private Hospital in a stable condition.

Both had been travelling in the Nissan Duke.

The Navara did not remain at the scene. It is not believed the ute was stolen.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the registered owner of the Navara had been contacted by officers. Investigations into the matter are continuing.
