A Gold Coast tattoo artist and his mother are set to learn their fates over a domestic violence-related home invasion at Highland Park, while the tattooist’s brother is set to contest the charges.

Elanora trio Suzanne McNaboe, 57, and her sons Benjamin Goodfellow, 36, and Douglas Peter McNaboe, 27, are each charged with two offences, entering premises at night by break while in company, and grievous bodily harm.

The offences are averred by the Crown to be domestic violence offences.

The Crown alleges the trio broke into a Cozens Way, Highland Park dwelling on the evening of August 26, 2023, and attacked an occupant, causing them grievous bodily harm.

On Thursday, July 31, Goodfellow was arraigned on the two charges, entering guilty pleas to both.

A trial review set down for August 4 was vacated. Goodfellow, a tattoo artist, had initially contested the charges.

His sentence was listed for September 16, the same day as his mother, who previously pleaded guilty to the charges. She was in court supporting him.

Mr McNaboe, who is yet to formally enter pleas, previously indicated he would contest the charges. His trial review on August 4 is still set to go ahead.

No facts of the alleged offending have been read onto the record at this stage of proceedings.

According to Goodfellow’s social media profiles, he was a one-time employee of Celebrity Ink Tattoo.

A spokeswoman for the Gold Coast studio he formerly worked at, according to his social media profile, confirmed he was not currently employed with them.
