IF you think you’re too broke to book a holiday, Tigerair’s latest sale might be just the news you need.

The airline’s offering deals on domestic flights next year that’ll get you there and back for way less than the cost of a movie or meal out.

Tigerair Australia is celebrating its ninth anniversary in Australia with $9 fares on selected routes until midday November 19.

The sale kicked off on Wednesday with $9 sale fares including Melbourne-Sydney, Melbourne-Adelaide and Brisbane-Cairns from February 1 – March 22, as well as Melbourne-Canberra from $19 and Brisbane-Sydney and Melbourne-Coffs Harbour from $29.

Yesterday’s deals included Tigerair’s new Brisbane-Whitsundays route, Melbourne-Hobart and Sydney-Gold Coast, for flights from May 2 to June 8.

And new sale fares starting from $9 will be released again at midday today, including Melbourne-Canberra, Sydney-Coffs Harbour and Brisbane-Sydney between July 25 and September 7.

All sale fares are inclusive of taxes and charges.

On Friday special $9 fares will include Melbourne-Canberra and Sydney-Coffs Harbour and Brisbane-Sydney.

All sale fares are inclusive of taxes and charges.

As for the “secret” to scoring up the cheap flights, Tigerair Australia spokeswoman Vanessa Regan’s advice is simple.

“The secret as always is to get in quick as the best value fares are expected to be snapped up quick,” she says.

Ms Regan says the airline’s ninth anniversary is a significant milestone.

“Tigerair Australia has come such a long way in nine years and we’re very proud to be Australia’s most on time low cost airline coupled with the lowest cancellation rate of all the major domestic airlines, since January 2015,” she says.

“The past year has been a significant one for Tigerair Australia. We’ve flown well over 21 million passengers (nearly the population of Australia), introduced six new routes including our first short haul international services to Bali.

“Ten dollars really doesn’t buy you much these days and once again we’re proving that Tigerair is Australia’s consumer champion with fares on sale across our network for less than the cost of a fast food meal deal or cut price cinema ticket.”
