This is hands down the best vacuum cleaner we’ve ever used in this unit.
I’ve been testing out the new Tineco Floor One S7 Pro, which promises to reduce your cleaning gadgets in half.
You can throw away your mop, bucket, broom and old vacuum cleaner, because this hi-tech cleaner vacuums and mops in a single pass.
Our experience with the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro
Normally we sweep and mop the floor — and use a robovac to keep the house quite tidy.
The number of youngsters in our unit has doubled since my last review on house-cleaning tech. I now have two trouble makers tearing the place apart — causing two-times the mess.
It’s pretty much all wooden-flooring in this place, so the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro is actually perfect as it’s designed to wet and dry vacuum hard floorboards.
I managed to convince my long-suffering wife to give the S7 PRO a whirl around the house (full disclosure: I am normally in charge of the cleaning chores in this house while she does the massive job of laundry).
Her first response: “This is so good, this is a good vacuum cleaner.” And also: “I like it. This is the best vacuum cleaner we’ve ever had, but I also like the robovac.”
The S7 PRO actually has motorised wheels on bottom of the machine which provides assisting power to make pulling or pushing easier — something my wife noticed immediately. “It’s walking me,” she explained in surprise. “It’s like a dog pulling me around!”
The most important test of any vacuum cleaner is: is it actually cleaning up the dirt.
And the S7 PRO passed that test with flying colours.
It sucked our dirt from hard to get placed that other machines didn’t get to.
There’s also a bright light shining from the cleaner which helped identify dirty areas. My wife said: “Hey dirt, I can see you!”
When cleaning particularly grimy areas, you can see the dirt vanish as you pass over, just like the Dyson ads.
With the motorised power, it didn’t take long to clean the entire unit and afterwards our floors was shiny and clean.
But that’s where one of the best parts of the S7 PRO became apparent, it has an extremely detailed self-cleaning system. There are two modes for self-cleaning: quick and detailed.
I chose detailed, and it actually does a great job of keeping the vacuum cleaner clean, which I think is very important. There’s nothing worse than a stinky cleaner.
PACKED WITH HI-TECH
Setting up the system was quick, I just connected the stick to cleaner with one click and set up the charging station.
There’s a 3.6” LCD display and voice assistant which gave me a tutorial on how to use the various modes of the cleaner. This is the main interface to control the cleaner, and you can also see battery life and get a snapshot of performance.
I also connected my phone to the cleaner via the app.
On a technical front, the S7 PRO uses “SmoothPower bi-directional self-propulsion system that detects movement to help you easily push or pull” the cleaner. This made the job of vacuuming a lot easier.
It’s also quite smart. It includes the proprietary Tineco iLoop™ Smart Sensor Technology, which detects messes and automatically adjusts suction power and water volume.
The cleaner has dual-sided enhanced edge cleaning, which means more dirt and grime gets picked up.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
How it works: This is a four-step process. Firstly the cleaner blasts out a proportioned spray of cleaning water on the brush roll. Secondly, the brush rotates at 450 revs per minute. Next, the floating scraper squeezes the dirty roller to eliminates the dirty water. Lastly, it vacuums the dirty water from the roller and floor, leaving it sparkling.
Self-propulsion: As mentioned it has a motor which helps push the vacuum around the house. It has a sensor which helps detect when you are trying to manoeuvre the machine, making pushing and pulling easier.
SUMMARY
This is definitely the best cleaner we’ve ever used, but tech like this isn’t cheap.
The models are selling for about $1300. This puts in on-par with some of the deluxe Dyson models.
If you’re looking for the best option on the market, this is for you. Otherwise, there are older models of the Tineco on the market like the S5 PRO – although it's lacking some of the top-tier functions of the S7 PRO.
