Queensland’s top touch footy stars battled it out at the state cup on the Gold Coast this weekend and we have unveiled the stars of the epic three-day tournament.

Queensland’s best touch footy players have converged on the Gold Coast to battle it out for glory in the 2025 Queensland Touch State Cup.

We have shone a light on the guns who have made their mark on the competition.

Caitlyn Blade, Sinead Murphy and Olivia Atkins (UQ)

The trio were as reliable as they come on the wing and produced some amazing performances on the way to the women’s title.

Tiarni Bryce (UQ)

An inspiring leader who was relentless in attack and defence and never took a backward step throughout the tournament.

Kayliss Brown, Hayden Madders and Flynn Madders (Arana)

The trio dominated in attack as they combined for 16 tries. Their pace, skill and touch footy IQ was a class above.

Zayne Miller (Coolum)

After falling short in extra time in the grand final four years in a row, Miller stepped up to guide the Bluefins to a thrilling title. He was a class above throughout the competition and led by example with poise and composure to take home the shield.

Demi Salton (Coolum)

Salton was electric on the wing as she put in several tireless performances out wide and was a model of consistency.

Arthur Butler (Coolum)

Butler formed a dominant partnership with Miller as he made several big plays in attack and defence and scored a key try in the grand final.

Bailey Deakin and Tommy Quinlivan (Toowoomba)

Deakin was near unstoppable as he dominated in attack every game, while Quinlivan’s experience was priceless in their run to the grand final.

The NRL icon and Broncos NRLW coach showcased his skills and spearheaded his side’s title push and saved his best for last in the grand final with two tries.

Steele Tallon (Arana)

A try-scoring machine, Tallon led the men’s 45’s competition with an impressive 12 tries.

Tahlia Marshall (Ipswich)

A Brisbane Tigers BMD Premiership gun, Marshall has returned to touch and put on her a show with impressive skills.

Jess Fraser (Ipswich)

The 16-year-old is the youngest player on her team yet plays well above her age. She is a game-changer in attack as she can score multiple tries on her own while setting up several teammates in the process.

Jess Barnes (Ipswich)

The Toowoomba product is an excitement machine and can change the flow of a contest anywhere on the field. Defenders have to lock her down early or else she can dominate in attack.

Jayden Love (Palm Beach)

A perennial threat, Love is an elite threat who brings impressive experience. He is a key playmaker setting up countless chances for his teammates.

Darnell Tawhi (Palm Beach)

A dangerous middle with solid experience who can produce impressive plays in attack and defence.

Lila Pratt and Tahlia Shuker (Rockhampton)

As captains these leaders have steered the ship effectively and have been in Australian and Queensland squads.

Kayla Bell (Rockhampton)

A reliable link who hit the ground running doing everything that was asked of her.

Ella Goodwin and Lexie Goodwin (Rockhampton)

The dynamic duo are lethal weapons in attack with their electric pace creating all kinds of headaches for their opponents. In defence, they have an incredible knack of thwarting the opposition’s momentum and can be relied upon to make crucial touches in key situations.

Charlotte van der Meer, Tahlia Rasmussen, Mikayla Hoffmeyer and Billie Barker (Redlands)

The quartet are game-changers out wide who play their role to perfection. Their mix of pace and agility has made them a perennial tryscoring threat.

Montaya Hudson (Townsville)

The NRLW and BMD Premiership outside back used her elite footwork and experience to spearhead her side’s push and was a key player for her younger teammates to look up to.

Teesha Edwards and Madi Wallace (Townsville)

The pair were a force to be reckoned with and were not afraid of the big moments as they often stepped up when the team needed them the most. The pair are strong role models for the rest of the side and came up clutch during Townsville’s thrilling finals extra time win.

Dylan Stensholm (Gold Coast)

A young gun in the Gold Coast mixed side who was a try-scoring machine. He was a force to be reckoned with every time he touched the ball and brought plenty of energy to the team.

Maddie Hunt (Gold Coast)

Hunt has stepped up to the occasion and been a crucial figure in Gold Coast’s finals run as she gave her all on every single play.

Ella Watkins (Gold Coast)

A key member of the Gold Coast women’s side which made the premier grand final, Watkins was a consistent tryscoring threat who stepped up under the pressure of finals.

Charlize Schmidt (Palm Beach)

A great team player who was in fine form throughout the competition.

Lilli-Ava Ioane (Gold Coast)

There was no stopping Ioane once she got going as she dominated in attack and contributed to several tries.

Ronan Delaney (Toowoomba)

The touch football and rugby league rising star was at his best again as he tore up the premier men’s competition with his exquisite skills and impressive experience. Delaney knows the game inside out and it a solid leader on the field.

Warren Till (Toowoomba)

Till was lethal in attack and was difficult to stop once he got going. Till showed his class with an impressive four-try outing early in the competition to put his rivals on notice.

Riley Matenga-Hongara (Brothers)

A reliable player who could change the game in an instant when given space.
