OF ALL the monikers in fighting and wrestling, this one just about takes the cake.
Meet Michelle Waterson, aka “The Karate Hottie” — the UFC’s newest women’s signing.
A 29-year-old from Colorado, Waterson is of Thai descent.
Waterson has modelled and even appeared in a metal band’s film clip, but — as you can probably determine from her nickname — this woman’s real talent is karate.
A karate student since the age of 10, Waterson holds a black belt in American freestyle karate and has also trained in WuShu, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing and wrestling.
You can check out some of her moves here:
A former Invicta Fighting Championships atomweight champion, Waterson has signed a deal to compete in the women’s UFC 115-pound (52kg) division.
