Especially when the World Surf League Fiji Pro event has been called off because of flat surf and it’s 19-year Australian tour veteran Taj Burrow’s last “dream tour” event.
To farewell the West Australian regular footer it appears most of the surfers on the island including Bede Durbidge, Joel Parkinson and Mick Fanning have taken to each other’s heads with a set of hair clippers.
Veteran Gold Coast surf photographer Peter Joli Wilson said Namotu beach had been turned into “Taj’s Barber Shop” where all customers received extremely short-back-and-sides haircuts.

It appears the infamous Fijian “skull drag”, which involves skolling alcohol through a tube while wearing a snorkel mask, might have kicked off the free haircuts.
