GOULBURN
BEST BET
Race 1, No.9: PIONEER LASS
Raced six times for four seconds and a third. Went awfully close in a mile race here prior to her Newcastle ‘silver’.
NEXT BEST
Race 3, No.3: REACH FOR GOLD
Spelled after a short, sharp and lucrative first campaign. Won both trials leading into this. He’s flying.
VALUE BET
Race 4, No.6: VANBURGH
Beaten here at $3.40 first-up but he was actually quite good through the line. Fitter and has some depth to his form.
QUADDIE
Race 5: 1,2,3,6
Race 6: 3,5,9,11,15,17
Race 7: 4,6,7,8.10
Race 8: 2,3,4,6,11
JOCKEY TO FOLLOW
William Pike could easily skip away to an early lead in the TAB Jockeys Challenge.
COFFS HARBOUR
BEST BET
Race 1, No.9: EXHIBITOR
Daniel Bowen trained mare who is winless after 15 starts but has placed eight times, five of those are seconds.
NEXT BEST
Race 2, No.6: AMBER DELUXE
Local from the Brett Dodson camp who has racked up six placings from 10 starts. Getting closer than she ever has been a breakthrough win.
VALUE BET
Race 4, No.3: FLYING PRETTY
Only won three form 47 but has 13 placings, and is invariably all around the money. Goes okay fresh too.

RACE 5
Sebring’s Rose didn’t do much first-up at Scone but had just one trial and struck the Heavy 8. There was considerable, and predictable, improvement in her next run at Wyong where she finished fourth. third-up, better surface, good draw - lots to like. Lawyer’s Delight is a son of Dundeel from the local Kurt Goldman stable. Unbeaten in his two runs this time in, the most recent of them was here on May 27 where he was mighty convincing. Has to run well surely. The Maxinator steps up to 1500m and that being the case, he could be prominent from the outset from gate one.
Bet: Sebring’s Rose to win, quinella 2,6
RACE 6
Glint Of Silver could be saved for Kembla on Saturday. Take note, wherever she goes, she will run really well because she is handy and she is flying. Cash Is Queen was sold for $10,000 yet trialled like a million bucks when she won a Heat here on May 27. She is a very quick and strikingly good-looking filly. Master Joe has trialled like a bomb twice. Just Wai likewise has accepted for Kembla. Lot to like about the trials. Ditto for the potentially absent Karuta King. Joyzel has claims if this race falls away like it almost certainly will.
Bet: Glint Of Silver to win or if scratched Cash Is Queen to win
RACE 7
Arale is a lightly-raced Peter and Paul Snowden-trained filly by Foxwedge with a record of four starts for two placings and two fifths. You would like to think that she gets her big chance to win one now thanks to the absence of Parlayed whom she had the misfortune of meeting at Newcastle second-up. Miss Tambo was third in that same race, about two-lengths behind Arale so let’s see how close she can get this time. Huge watch on Enviable, this grey colt is by I Am Invincible out of Challenge Stakes winner Villa Verde. Golden gate should run well off those last two trials.
Bet: Arale to win
RACE 8
May lose Hot Dancing to Kembla; not sure, but I am sure that Matthew Smith has her going really well. In her absence, we would be happy enough to switch to My Snow Queen from the John Sargent stable. This daughter of Star Turn has won once in her 12 starts but what is vital to note is that it was a race held over this same track and distance - and what’s more, she won by three-lengths. Gives every signal that she is on an upward spiral and peaks here. Tick Tick Boom could be at Kembla tomorrow. Big chance here or there. Reoffender saves his best for Goulburn. Hendo’s Magic, Kyalla and Green Reign all have claims.
Bet: Hot Dancing to win or if scratched My Snow Queen to win

RACE 5
If you thought Kris Lees seems to train a lot of winners at Coffs Harbour, you would be right. His strike-rate there is a shandy shy of 30 percent which is crazy good. Lees saddles-up the top-rater in this race namely Apache Blue who has the form, the trials, the gate and the jockey to win this. Zapluck hasn’t won for a while but this is a nice race for the Marc Quinn-trained gelding. Mr Pointer is open to improvement second-up. This is his right trip. Fermanagh Lad and Jay Peak Kitten are in the mix.
Bet: Apache Blue to win
RACE 6
Flying Banjo has only won three out of 27 but a couple of things to remember; one is that he has placed eight times and two, he has won two of his four visits to the races so you can’t say he is not in good form - and holding it too. The ‘best’ Great Marlow would knock over a race like this. He still might given those decent numbers here at Coffs. Cliffs Of Moher has Ben Looker on board and the advantage of barrier 2. Italian Tune monsters them on the benchmark ratings and that has to count for something. Red Intuition is ‘not impossible.
Bet: Flying Banjo to win, quinella 4,5, box trifecta 1,3,4,5
RACE 7
Manor Road is a Bruce McHugh-bred son of his beloved Arlington who as well as being a $1.55 million sale topping yearling, he is a half-brother to Savabeel. As for Manor Road, this Walcha-housed gelding has bene in career best form this whole prep actually. The numbers tell it better than words ‘x41433’. Sure Strategy has only won once in 33 starts but she has eight placings. Maybe worth pointing out that she beat Manor Road home at Armidale 10-days ago. Crown’m has just one solitary placings from his 11 starts but all the signs are there to suggest that he is building up to a new career best.
Bet: Manor Road to win
RACE 8
Cabsav is an emergency for Saturday’s TAB Highway. It could be his last chance to run on one of them because all things being equal, he might have won his fourth race by the close of business. Clearly he is in good nick, why else would John Shelton throw his hat in the ring for a Highway. Dollson was run down late by Cabsav here on June 9 - just. That’s not to say it is assured of happening for a second time but less likely perhaps given Dollson’s pretty awful draw. Deep Mirror is a player, so too perhaps the 50-start veteran, Ambitious Prince.
Bet: Cabsav to win, quinella 4,11
