DUBBO
BEST BET
Race 4, No.1: BARRADAS
Brett Cavanough-trained gelding who was well-backed to win at Gosford last start and got the job done, narrowly, but in style.
NEXT BEST
Race 5, No.6: BILLABONG ISLE
Handy filly who won three on the trot last preparation; resumes here with Ash Morgan up. Go well.
VALUE BET
Race 7, No.5: SCHILLER’S MYST
Was $13 into $9.50 in the Highway at Randwick on May 28 but never got into the race. Can forgive a good horse for that.
QUADDIE
Race 5: 1,4,6
Race 6: 1,2,3,4,6
Race 7: 3,4,5,11
Race 8: 2,3,4,5
JOCKEY TO FOLLOW
Aaron Bullock is sure to give the TAB Jockeys Challenge a red-hot go provided all his mounts show up on race day.

BEST BET
Race 3, No.13: QUILTING
Could easily turn out to be the best horse racing all day. Breeding, trainer, jockey, barrier, ability, etc
NEXT BEST
Race 6, No.10: PERSIAN BEAUTY
Local who has raced here at home over the mile three times for two wins. Was okay in the Highway and has Jeff Penza on board here.
VALUE BET
Race 4, No.2: PAR AVION
Tuncurry mare who put the writing on the wall for another win with a great run at Port Macquarie eight-days ago.
THE INSIDE MAIL FOR DUBBO
RACE 5
Billabong Isle is a well credentialed filly who won three in a row last preparation before being tried in a TAB Highway at Randwick she led and faded but was only beaten four and half lengths. Races well here at Dubbo; just a slightly off gate to contend with, that’s all. Keith Dryden may elect to run Shores of Avalon at Wagga in the days to come but she will be a force no matter where she goes with her 88 rating. I Am Capitan’s ‘best’ would be good enough to win. The Dean Mirfin-trained veteran has finished runner-up in all three visits to the venue.
Bet: Billabong Isle to win
RACE 6
Casino Seventeen is a Cody Morgan-trained gelding who will find this race considerably easier than his last start in the Gunnedah Cup where he was sixth of 13, less than two and a half from the winner too. Will just need an ‘out’ from barrier one. Annie’s Street won the Gunnedah Cup last start having finished fourth in the Gooree Cup at Mudgee before that. Has to go ‘in’ on the score of those last two runs despite the wide draw. Invincible Dash was third in the Gooree Cup prior to her distant sixth of eight in town at the midweeks on a bottomless Heavy 10 that afternoon. Better going will assist.
Bet: Casino Seventeen to win, quinella 1,2, box trifecta 1,2,3,4
RACE 7
Schiller’s Myst was $13 into $9.50 in a TAB Highway at Randwick but was a never in contention finishing almost 17-lengths from her stablemate, Songblue. Clearly the Brett Cavanough-trained mare is better than that. Needs to lift, obviously, but a rapid return to form would not surprise. Justfour is a lightly-raced filly by Zoustar from the Mary Moses yard who has raced eight times for a win and three placings. Drawn well in barrier 3 if she can take advantage and is at the peak of her powers now fourth run into the preparation off three placings. Gold Lunar has only won once in 21 starts but has been known to rattle home on occasions.
Bet: Schiller’s Myst each-way, box First 4: Nos. 3,4,5,11,15
RACE 8
All The Shops is a Gerry Harvey owned son of All Too Hard who has raced nine times for three wins. The Stephen Jones-trained four-year-old led throughout to win at Muswellbrook first-up before an honourable fifth in the Sungblue TAB Highway at Randwick on May 28. Won his only run at the track and distance in commanding style in a deep maiden too. Indicative is a superbly-bred Snitzel gelding from the Cameron Crockett yard who has a win and four seconds from his seven starts. Worth noting that he is ‘21’ at his only two runs since he came over to Crockett’s care. No Debt has quite a good strike-rate; in fact, the Brett Robb-trained gelding has finished on the podium 10 times from 16 starts and is one for one at this same track and distance.
Bet: All The Shops to win, box trifecta 2,3,4,5
THE INSIDE MAIL FOR TAREE
RACE 4
Par Avion is the highest rated horse according to the benchmarks and for good reason. The Terry Evans mare from Tuncurry has won four times and placed four times from her 14 starts and has form around Country Championships Finalists. Put the writing on the wall first-up at Port. Old Timing Man is likewise a consistent type from Grafton who deserves a seventh career win after a series of recent placings. Just needs luck from the alley. Fight For Love is from an astute local stable. Italian Tune is unbeaten in two runs at Taree but over more ground.
Bet: Par Avion to win
RACE 5
It’s Chime Time will hopefully gain a start because barrier 1, third-up off two solid fourths leading into Friday is a good template for success for the Ross Stitt-trained paternal grandson of J.J. Atkins winner, Chime Zam. Malsina has two seconds from her 11 starts but Jeff Engelbrecht has found the daughter of Star Witness a suitable assignment. Ditto that for Brett Cavanough’s Wandjina filly Wanderbetough who is sure to find the extra 100m a big assist this afternoon. Golden Chances ran third at her only run at the track/distance.
Bet: It’s Chime Time each-way, box trifecta 9,11,14,18
RACE 6
Persian Beauty is a Ross Stitt-trained local who has raced three times at the track and distance of the Wingham Cup winning two of them. The daughter of Shooting To Win is back home after a decent run in the TAB Highway at Randwick late last month. Jeff Penza to ride. Scorched Land is knocking on the door now after four runs this campaign culminating, for now, with his last start closing fifth in the Gunnedah Cup. Texas Storm, the 2021 Wingham Cup runner-up can never be ruled out, not least when his record at Taree is taken into account namely four wins, three seconds and a third from 10 runs here at the home base.
Bet: Persian Bounty to win
RACE 7
Vivenzo is a Rodney Northam-trained son of Written Tycoon who should be at a peak now after three runs this time in, the last one a fourth at Tamworth when not beaten at all far. Bucko and a middle gate should assist. Duble Memory is a Dubleo gelding who is on his way to the winner’s stall sometime soon. The Wayne Wilkes-trained chestnut arrives here off two fourths; just needs luck from that wide draw. Glenburn Hotel is a locally trained galloper whose only win (in 18 starts) was here at home. Inspiration has claims in an open affair.
Bet: Vivenzo each-way
