Super W: Gold Coast forms backbone of Queensland Reds squad
One-third of the 30-strong squad has been drawn from the region across Griffith University, Bond University and rugby league Burleigh Bears.

Gold Coast rugby talent will form the backbone of the Queensland Reds squad for the 2020 Super W season.
More than a third of the 37-strong squad have represented local teams through club rugby, rugby league and AON University Sevens series fixtures.
Griffith University were the best represented club on the coast, with Kiri Lingman, Ivania Wong, Shannon Mato, Alana Elisaia, Courtney Hodder, Alysia Lefau-Fakaosilea and Sam Treherne.
Bond University’s Cobie-Jane Morgan, Gabby Senft and Kirby Sefo have been named in the main squad while Emily Bass, Aleena Greenhalgh and Melanie Wilks were added to the wider training squad.
From the Burleigh Bears, playmaker Zehara Temara was named in the halves while prop Millie Boyle was unavailable for selection due to injury.
The Reds begin their 2020 Super W campaign in Round 2 of the competition, having a bye in Round 1, where they will face the Rugby WA Women in Perth on 22 February, kick-off at 6:00pm AEST.
