Trainer Lloyd Kennewell says he will target The Everest with Viddora after winning Magic Millions Snippets

TRAINER Lloyd Kennewell says it’s all about getting Viddora to this year’s $13 million The Everest after winning the $1 million Magic Millions Snippets.

TRAINER Lloyd Kennewell says it’s all about getting Viddora to this year’s $13 million The Everest after winning the $1 million Magic Millions Snippets.

Kennewell revealed he had offers to race the five-year-old overseas but was yet to decide the correct path to Viddora’s The Everest grand final at Randwick on October 13.

“Everything will be planned around getting her to The Everest,” Kennewell said.

“There are options to go overseas, I have been invited to go overseas, I can’t disclose where yet.

Overseas sounds great but we have got to do the right thing by the horse.

The Morphettville trainer said he would take Viddora home where she will have 10 days off while he mulls over a potential racing schedule that could include trips to Adelaide as well.

Whatever Kennewell’s decision, Viddora won’t feature in many races before The Everest.

“She won’t have many runs between now then (The Everest),” Kennewell said.

“There is only a handful of runs that she will have. That’s how she races and she loves it.”

Viddora overcame a trip to Western Australian, where she won the Perth-Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) on December 2, to win on the eastern side of the country a month later.

“She has been well managed,” Kennewell said.

“She is just a bloody good horse, it’s as simple as that.”
