AUSTRALIAN racing’s new golden girl Michelle Payne has officially gained a ride in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic after three contenders for tomorrow’s race have all failed vet tests today.
Which means the first three emergencies for the race have gained a start in the rich race.
Dieters, Conchita and Sundance have all been scratched from the race meaning emergencies Rainy Day Woman, Zafina and Party Pardee are now in the field.
Zafina is part-owned by Magic Millions co-owner Gerry Harvey.
Sundance was officially ruled out after his condition had deteriorated following a foot abscess earlier this week.

It’s a bitter pill to swallow for Gold Coast trainer Toby Edmonds, who was set to have his first runner in the 2YO Classic with Sundance.
Michelle Payne is riding first emergency Rainy Day Woman, who has now gained a start in the 2YO Classic due to the scratching.
Payne shot to stardom after becoming the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup aboard 100-1 outsider Prince Of Penzance in November.
Dieters and Conchita are also in some doubt for the rich race and will undergo vet checks later today.
