A NEW favourite has emerged for the 2019 Magic Millions Classic after landing a favourable barrier draw for the Coast’s biggest horse race.
Exhilarates is the new favourite for the 1200m race after the barrier numbers were drawn this morning on Surfers Paradise beach.
She has firmed from $5 into $4.80 for trainer James Cummings after getting barrier 9, while both Unite And Conqueror and Yes Yes Ues have drifted substantially after drawing wide alleys 18 and 21 respectively.
Former Magic Millions managing director and current Godolphin director Vin Cox was the man to draw 9 for the Cummings team.
The 2019 Magic Millions Classic is the first of three million dollar races for 2 year old horses at the Magic Millions Carnival.
The race is fully restricted to horses that have been sold or passed-in at one of the Magic Millions sales and boasts a total prize pool of $2,000,000 making it the richest event in the Magic Millions carnival.
The 2019 Magic Millions Classic will be run on Saturday the 12th of January, 2019 at Gold Coast Racecourse.
