The Clagriba resident won on the Baker-trained D’oro Rain and Tony’s Reward at Bathurst before finding more success with Waterhouse’s Wolfe and David Pfieffer’s Xaarfoxylady at Kembla Grange.
Harrison also had a ride for John Thompson.
“I wanted to stick solid with Queensland Racing and what they were doing because it had to be done but I thought I’d take up the opportunity of no racing on the Saturday in Queensland and try my luck down that way.
“I made contact with a few trainers and said I’m keen to come down.
“I ended up picking up seven really good rides. Everything I rode down there was a good chance.”
Harrison has worked with Waterhouse on multiple occasions and often rides trackwork for the legendary trainer during the Brisbane winter carnival.
