EXCITING filly Ghisoni has been officially ruled out of Saturday’s week’s Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm.
Godolphin released a statement this morning confirming the dominant Glenlogan Park Stakes winner will line up in the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m) on the same day instead.
Godolphin Australia managing director Henry Plumptre said consideration will then be given to Ghisoni running in the Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 25.
“We’ve always had an eye on not only this campaign but the spring where there are some very nice races for her,” Plumptre said.
“She’s in great order, John (O’Shea) and the team are very happy with her, we simply decided that this was the most suitable course to follow with a filly who has a great future.”
Stradbroke favourite Azkadellia is likely to firm in Stradbroke betting today after it was also announced this morning that Damien Oliver will ride the Ciaron Maher-trained mare in the $1.5 million race.
