GOLD Coast’s leading jockey Dan Griffin has celebrated four wins at his home track and believes each of the horses will go on to win again when they return.
Griffin was in the zone on Saturday at Aquis Park, riding Wudang Blade, Beat the Beast, Saute and Ardoyne Road to victory on the nine-race card.
“It was a really good day,” Griffin said.
“On form I thought I could definitely ride two winners but it was just one of those days where things panned out.

“Things fell into place. It was one of those really good days where you are riding the same but things happen.”
Griffin was confident Wudang Blade and Beat The Beast could deliver going into the day.
“All four of them are going to go on and win again, they won by margins where they could go on to midweek and metro ranks,” Griffin said.
“I was really impressed with Beat The Beast. It’s the first time he had the right run and the explosion and turn of footy he showed was great.”
The day was dominated by Griffin and fellow hoop Luke Dittman who rode three winners of his own, Fuji Flyer, The Knight and Torrens while trainer Marcus Wilson celebrated a double with Wudang Blade and Solspeil.
Meanwhile, jockey Jarrod Woodhouse was been suspended by stewards for eight days for careless riding on Buffalo Girl in the Class 1 Handicap (1800m).
Woodhouse pleaded guilty to the charge for permitting his the horse to shift out passing the 500m when not clear of constructor which had to be checked and lost its rightful position.
Hoop Les Tilley was also fined $300 for returning to scale overweight after riding Tofu Mick in the Class 2 Handicap (1100m).
